I wasn't surprised when I read the below that an engaged workforce tends to yield better results and profitability.

Throughout my eight years at Aspire, it has always been when I have felt engaged and valued as an employee in a career and role that is aligning with my motivations and goals that I have produced the best results.

Taking that into my management role, I always try to learn what is important to my team on an individual basis so that I can keep them motivated and bought into the importance of every piece of their day-to-day roles. It's not always easy to do but I find that positive motivation will bring better results and a more engaged team instead of 'stick' mentality - especially in a sales environment.
