It never ceases to amaze me how people want the best content for free as it is magic. Great content takes great talent, and talent costs. 

It's great that Google have blocked most ad-blockers, but it doesn't mean you still can't block ads via third-party apps, as this guide shows.

I despair at people who watch TV and complain about the ads, yet also complain if asked to pay for a subscription. They want the freedom to view without ads. It doesn't exist in the UK, as even the BBC is funded by licence payers.

People don't want to live in ignorance; they need news. We want to know what is going on at home and abroad. So who exactly do they think pays to train the journalist, pays their salary, travel and accommodation over what can be months or even years before they can report news that is verified? 

Many don't mind ads that are well-targeted and relevant, and that is what the talent in the ad industry must focus on.
