Recent research from Marketing Week shows marketing sliding down the list of attractive careers for young people. Most school children associate marketing with advertising and view it in a negative light; probably because adverts these days are shoved in their faces, and the general tendency is to skip, fast forward and close.

Children grow up hating adverts which has a knock-on effect on marketing.

I'm not trying to say that advertising is bad, i'm just highlighting the fact that we should surely be re-educating young people on the great things about marketing and addressing the misconceptions so that we don't lose out on our next generation of could-be marketers.
