To what extent fake news fuels perception is unclear, but the Ipsos Mori 2017 presentation highlighted that the massive difference between perception and fact is worldwide. 

Take recruitment and Christmas. The perception is that employers stop recruiting and candidates stop looking. The facts are somewhat different. Most employers would love to solve their recruitment problem before Christmas and most candidates would like to get their next career move sorted before the New Year.
