One of the upsides of EU membership is the abilitty for talent to move to where the action and demand is. The downside is that anyone can move including those with skills not in demand. As a result (and no control over immigration) the UK is shut off from the rest of the world. We can't even transfer an employee from our Singapore office. Only the largest businesses can sponsor people from outside the EU and therefore the UK can't take advantage of the abundance of Vietnamese coders, Chinese computer engineers or Indian Analysts.
Let's hope the AA can be persuasive in helping the government think of the bigger picture when it comes to the movement of the digital media and marketing services talent the UK needs.
