Its official the recruitment industry is the most connected on LinkedIn!
I thought this previously, but as an Internal Recruiter my entire network is made up of people in the industry, I see little activity outside of recruitment.
So why do recruiters like to stay so in the loop? What makes our industry special and so connected?
This week LinkedIn announced 500 million users worldwide! 23 million being based in the UK. Those in the staffing and recruiting sector on average have 702 connections each. As we are a people industry it is no surprise that we all want to know each other, Linking-In in with the people that could be potentially placed into role that we are looking to fill.
LinkedIn describes itself as a business and employment orientated social network, which the staffing and recruitment sector have utilised to its full advantage.
This week LinkedIn announced it had reached 500m members worldwide, including 23m in the UK, while London is the most connected city worldwide. But data, released to Recruiter, also confirms the staffing and recruiting sector is the most connected industry on LinkedIn, with recruitment professionals boasting 702 connections on average, followed by venture capital and private equity professionals with 423 connections, and HR with 380 connections on average.
