CMS Cameron McKenna, Nabarro and Olswang are reported to be on the brink of a three-way merger to create a £1bn global firm. Will such a move provide each firm with the economies of scale and geographical reach they need? It'll be interesting to see if there really is an abandonment of an LLP status though.
The combination is expected to create a “unique platform” and be “structurally unusual”, according to sources close to the firm. Speculation is rife the triumvirate is considering its options to abandon its LLP structure in favour of an ABS-style set-up.
