Apple has recently been granted a patent for a 'steering device for an articulated vehicle' - but it's not for the so-called 'Project Titan' car some were expecting.
It's clear that the global tech giant is diversifying into engineering and development areas, but it'll be several years before consumers would get to drive anything like an iCar, or similar.
It'll be interesting to monitor developments of this next phase of Apple's R&D arm, and whether or not the consumer would ultimately be sold on an electronics giant building cars.

Amid speculation, anonymous tips and cryptic, noncommittal comments from Apple CEO Tim Cook about plans to eventually enter the automotive business, the company has received what may be its first vehicle-related patent.
